everything you do matters
This year, join us for an engaging conversation about sexual violence. As high-profile sexual violence cases and the pervasiveness of sexual harassment are being brought to light, many of us find ourselves wondering what we can do about it. Victory over Violence will be looking at the reasons why sexual violence is so commonplace, how cultural norms lead to sexual assault and what we, as individual and a society, can do about it. Remember, everything you do matters.
The mission of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services is to support individuals affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and sexual exploitation and to lead the community towards ending these abuses of power.
No matter what their circumstances, every person deserves to feel safe, supported and heard. When we talk about individuals affected by domestic violence or sexual assault, we’re talking about every one of us. When 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced violence at the hands of an intimate partner, each and every life has been affected by partner violence or sexual assault.
Whether it’s you, a loved one, a co-worker or a friend, someone you know needs help. And so, DVSAS is there.
